Military Service Recognition
The City of Yorba Linda is proud to offer two different types of programs to honor our local military service men and women. The Military Street Banner Program is designed to honor active duty personnel who are currently serving in the armed forces. The Veteran Flag & Banner Program is designed to honor veterans who have previously served in the armed forces.

Military Banner Program
The Military Banner Program is designed to honor and recognize Yorba Linda Gold Star and active duty military personnel. Military banners are displayed on light poles along sections of Yorba Linda Boulevard, beginning at Valley View Avenue and continuing east. Each banner will list the honoree’s name and the military branch in which the honoree serves.
Eligibility
The designated honoree must be currently serving as active duty in a full-time capacity in the United States Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, or Navy) and currently reside in Yorba Linda or have an immediate family member (parent, spouse, son, daughter, or grandparent) residing in Yorba Linda.
Display Information
The banners are displayed from mid-June 2024 through mid-June 2025 for the 2024/2025 program.

Application Process
Applications are being accepted for the 2024-2025 program through April 1, 2024. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until space is filled. Payment in the amount of $100 for the purchase of the banner is required to complete the enrollment process. Please complete one application per honoree. Payment is accepted online (following the instructions below), by mail, or by walking in your completed Military Banner Application (PDF) to:
